Daytime Emmy winner Tamara Braun—who played Carly after Sarah Brown and before Laura Wright— makes her triumphant return to GENERALHOSPITAL on Wednesday, November 22.

The In Depth Story: Although ABC hasn’t yet revealed any details about Braun’s character, the safe money has her tackling the role of Oscar’s much discussed but-yet-to-be-seen mother, Kim … which not coincidentally, would put her back in the orbit of Maurice Benard (Sonny), the leading man whom she always had such great chemistry.

When Soaps In Depth recently fan favorite, she recalled that, at the start of her 2001-’05 GH run, she’d continued working at the Four Seasons on the side. “Even when I’d been on air on GH for months and months, I kept my [other] job,” she admitted, “because the powers that be could fire me at any time.”

“You know that saying,” she added “‘Once an actress, always a waitress!’” Of course, since getting her big break in daytime, Braun has worked consistently in showbiz. She’s been so in-demand, in fact, that her GH come back isn’t even the first time that she’s been tasked with taking on a new role on a show she’s already left. After coming and going from DAYS OF OUR LIVES as batty Ava, she replaced GH’s Natalia Livingston (ex-Emily/Rebecca) as Taylor, then returned to the NBC sudser as Steve’s ex yet again!

In addition to GH and DAYS, Braun was a regular on ALL MY CHILDREN as Reese, the lesbian whose marriage to Bianca was daytime’s first legal same sex union.
