Although GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Julian and Kim are having a whole lot of fun together, it’s been clear for quite a while that he is still in love with Alexis. But this week, it becomes equally obvious that Kim is still carrying a torch for Drew!

The In Depth Story: What’s a woman to do when the guy she once loved has no memor y of their time together? If that woman is Kim, she does what she can to move on… although that doesn’t necessarily mean that she forgets.

“Of course, there’s a big part of Kim that longs for the old days,” says co-headwriter Chris Van Etten. “She probably thought she’d put the longing for Drew to rest years ago… right up until that day she walked into Sonny and Carly’s house on Thanksgiving and came face to face with ‘Jason Morgan’ and eventually found out that the man she’d fallen for — hard — years ago was still alive! And not only the man she’d fallen for, but the man who gave her a son, Oscar, who she loves with all her heart!”

Kim may not necessarily want to face those feelings she’s worked hard to bury, but she does acknowledge to Julian that she still loves Drew as much as he loves Alexis!

And what of Alexis? She keeps insisting she and Julian are over… but is she ready to see him and Kim move on together? “Kim who?” quips Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis), adding sarcastically, when asked if Alexis is threatened by Julian’s new relationship, “The fact that Kim’s younger, prettier and thinner than Alexis is not threatening at all!”

Of course, with Sam and Drew’s relationship in question (and his memories of the past still out there, waiting to be retrieved), Van Etten warns that things “could get very messy!”
