Word is that GH is in talks with soap-hopper — and former Carly — Tamara Braun to return to the show! With the current Patient 6/Jason saga unfolding on screen (see the In Depth Cover Story, page 24, for more), viewers could be in for a tale of two Carlys, as well… but buzz from Daytime Confidential is that Braun will play a new role tied to Steve Burton and Billy Miller’s characters. (We can’t help noticing that Braun also bears a striking resemblance to Chloe Lanier’s Nelle, but we’ll have to wait to see whether that factors in!)

Should Braun pop up in Port Charles, it wouldn’t be the first time she’s returned to GH since her 1996-2001 run: She joined Carly’s originator, Sarah Brown (who later returned as Claudia), and current portrayer Laura Wright for a 2014 cameo in honor of the soap’s 51st anniversary. Plus, Braun interestingly enough made this type of landing before on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Back in 2011, she returned to the NBC soap to replace Natalia Livingston as Taylor rather than resurrecting her Emmy-winning role of Ava, which she had played for six months in 2008. Then in 2015, Braun was back on the DAYS canvas again, but this time to reprise the part of Ava!
