“I had just flown back to L.A. from Chicago. A little before 7 [a.m.]. we got a phone call and my boyfriend said, ‘Tamara wake up, we’ve been attacked!’ I thought he meant someone broke in. I guess just like everyone else, I couldn’t believe what was going on. It’s never been on our soil. It’s homes, it’s our friends, its our families. It’s a real time to unite. It’s beautiful…how out of tragedy this outpouring of humanity has come. I hope it won’t die down because we need to treat each other this way all the time.”
